Join a public group to kayak through the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve and learn about what makes this place unique! Tours are guided by certified volunteer naturalists. As you gently paddle along, you will have the opportunity to see wetland wildlife while your naturalist guide stops occasionally to talk about the ecology/natural history of the Bay. Learn and work together towards habitat restoration stewardship in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Native plants are nature's filtration system to slow stormwater pollution. As a volunteer, you will collect seeds, remove non-native plants, plant native ones. Gloves and tools will be provided. Participants should bring water, closed-toe shoes, layered clothing and sun protection. Advance registration required.

Help keep the waters of the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve healthy! On the last Sundays of the month, help clean up trash from the area around the south parking lot and footbridge. Tools, gloves and buckets will be provided. Click the link to register online.
