The OC Parks Jr. Ranger Program encourages park guests to make observations, learn about nature, and feel empowered to be stewards of Orange County's natural resources. Keep the beach clean while enjoying an incredible view at the Doheny State Beach Foundation Community Beach Cleanup. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to increase your impact. If you can, bring your own recycled bag, buckets, gloves, or other supplies to make this event as zero waste as possible. No advanced registration is required.

On-site paper shredding and household battery collection will now take place at all six bi-monthly Community Clean Up events. Bring up to four (4) boxes of paper that need shredding and all used household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, etc.) to the event for free disposal! The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency, in partnership with Republic Services, invites residents to a free bulky item drop-off event. Dispose of items like furniture, mattresses, and carpets. No appointment needed, but proof of residency is required. Event ends at noon or when capacity is reached.

Help Grow Native Plants for Restoration at the Back Bay Science Center. Volunteers assist in seasonal nursery activities such as seed collection and sowing, processing cuttings, composting, and more, no experience needed! Advanced registration is required.

Do your part at the native plant nursery in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Native plants are nature's filtration system to slow stormwater pollution. Join the mission to protect our underwater pals, keep the wildlife safe, and stop trash in its tracks before it hits the waves with Coastal Corridor Alliance.
