This Academy will breakdown all parts of OC San so that you can walk away with a better understanding of what they do, how, and why. At this session, participants who attend all four workshops will be honored with a Certificate of Completion at the graduation ceremony during the April Board Meeting. Register online, workshop dates are subject to change.

This free workshop includes topics covering sizing and siting a rainwater collection area, developing a palette of climate-appropriate plants, applying key design principles, and laying out a successful planting plan. Advanced registration is required.

Are you looking to remove turf from your yard but don't know where to start? In this webinar you will learn about removing turf without the use of chemicals, replacing turf with climate-appropriate plants, and how to successfully apply for a turf replacement rebate. This class is free, but advanced registration is required.

The City of Mission Viejo is hosting its annual Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration with a planting and Green Expo. Participants should wear a hat, gloves, boots and sunscreen. Lunch and ice cream will be available for volunteers while supplies last. See website and flyer for more information.

The Santa Ana River has many tributaries that feed into it before it meets the ocean, you can do your part to prevent pollution on a local level. Must wear closed toed shoes and pants. Please join the City of San Clemente in planting Ficus Nitida trees. All necessary tools, gloves, and water will be provided. Hole # 5 is located south of the Golf Course Club House by the intersection of Avenida San Luis Rey and Avenida Santa Margarita. Street parking is available.

Get hands-on experience installing an active rainwater harvesting system with this workshop! In this free class, you will discuss designing a rainwater harvesting system, choosing and preparing the optimal site, how to size and install system componenets and keeping up with maintenance.
