The Bolsa Chica Stewards invite the public to join them on the first Sunday and third Saturday of each month for their habitat restoration efforts. Help them care for the new plants, remove non-native plants, pick up trash, and other maintenance tasks to prevent pollution of local waterways. Pre-registration and event sign up is required.
Join OC Habitats every third Saturday of the month at the Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy to support wetland restoration! Get your hands dirty removing invasive species, planting natives, or picking up trash — all while learning about wetland ecosystems and native plants. Learn and work together towards habitat restoration stewardship in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Native plants are nature's filtration system to slow stormwater pollution. As a volunteer, you will collect seeds, remove non-native plants, plant native ones. Gloves and tools will be provided. Participants should bring water, closed-toe shoes, layered clothing and sun protection. Advance registration required.
